Course overview

The Acron Aviation ATP Certification Training Program (ATP CTP) is the foundational step toward obtaining an ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating or type rating for any aircraft. This certification is essential for pilots seeking to meet the hiring requirements of major domestic airlines and many corporate air carriers. ATP certification also enables pilots to instruct others, approve pilot logbooks, and maintain training records.

  • ATP knowledge test preparation and arrangements can be made upon request
  • Candidates can choose to take the test at convenient locations across the USA
  • The ATP CTP certificate does not expire, and ATP knowledge test results are valid for five years
  • We offer hotel recommendations with transportation to and from the training center

All training is conducted by certificate holder 6AEX AeroElite.

How to get ATP certification?

To obtain an ATP certificate if you already hold an FAA CPL (Commercial Pilot License), you’ll need to follow these steps:

  1. Complete the ATP CTP Program: This includes 30 hours of ground school and 16 hours of flight simulator training.
  2. Take the ATP ME Exam: After completing ATP CTP, you must pass this 125-question test, requiring at least 70% to pass.
  3. Complete ATP Training: You can choose between ATP non-type or ATP with type rating, available for a variety of aircraft like the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.
  4. Pass the ATP Checkride: This can be completed either on a light twin-engine aircraft or with a type rating checkride.
