Acron Aviation, a leading commercial aviation technology company, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of its new global head office in downtown St Petersburg, Florida.

The ceremony, held on March 2nd at City Center, was attended by employees, industry partners, and community figures. The event celebrated the company’s resilience and its transition into a permanent, state-of-the-art facility following the impact of Hurricane Milton.

Alan Crawford, Chief Executive Officer of Acron Aviation, said: "The ribbon-cutting ceremony was a proud moment for everyone at Acron Aviation. This world-class head office is a clear representation of our ongoing commitment to investing in St. Petersburg. We remain focused on supporting both the local community and the region’s economic growth as we deepen our roots here and continue to develop the safety-critical intelligence that will define the future of flight."

The new 242,115-square-foot global head office serves as the operational hub for Acron Aviation's 1,500 employees worldwide, housing 80 staff members across the company's executive leadership team and customer support staff.

Located waterside at City Center, the modern facility features Acron Aviation’s Engineering Center of Excellence, alongside an Innovation Lounge and four R&D laboratories. The office also provides expanded conference facilities, a customer training center, and modern collaboration spaces.

The move follows the closure of Acron Aviation's original St Petersburg facility in October 2024 due to Hurricane Milton. Despite the challenges posed by the storm, the Acron Aviation team successfully maintained global business activities and customer support at a temporary location before transitioning into this new permanent site.
