Course overview
The Examiner Refresher Course (ERC) is tailored to support examiners in the commercial air transport sector by providing up-to-date training for the revalidation of their examiner certificates in line with EASA Part FCL. The course reviews regulatory changes and the responsibilities examiners must maintain to remain compliant.

Course content
The ERC ensures examiners stay up to date with current aviation legislation and procedural changes.
Review of UK Civil Aviation Legislation | A comprehensive review of the legislative framework, from the formation of ICAO to the present day. This includes Commission Regulation 1178/2011 as amended by 290/2012. |
Legislative updates | An overview of recent legislative changes, focusing on the examiner’s role. This covers Part FCL, Subparts H, J, and K, and relevant parts of Annex VI ARA. |
Administrative procedures | Changes to CAA Information Notices (IN), updated paperwork requirements, and best practices for record retention under the UK Data Protection Act. |
Revalidation and renewal procedures | A detailed look at the changes to procedures for revalidating and renewing examiner certificates. |
