Type Rating Examiner Standardization (TRES) Course
Acron Aviation is one of the few organizations authorized by the UK Civil Aviation Authority to conduct the Type Rating Examiner Standardization (TRES) course. This world-renowned course is designed to prepare experienced TRI/SFI instructors for examining duties in compliance with regulatory standards.
Course overview
This five-day course focuses on the key differences between instructing and examining, equipping candidates with the skills to handle practical assessments in either a simulator or aircraft. The course concludes with a formal proficiency test to ensure candidates are prepared for their Examiner Assessment of Competence (EAoC) as required by their respective regulator.

Course content
- Day 1: Ground school
- Day 2: Ground school, including 1-hour simulator familiarity session
- Day 3: Ground school, followed by 2 x 1.5-hour simulator sessions
- Day 4: Ground school, followed by 2 x 1.5-hour simulator sessions
- Day 5: Ground school, followed by 2 x 1.5-hour check details
