Driver Training Solutions: From L3 and L3Harris to Acron Aviation
In March 2025, TJC acquired L3Harris’ Commercial Aviation Solutions sector, including Driver Training Solutions (DTS). Following this acquisition, Acron Aviation was launched as a standalone business, bringing DTS under its umbrella. DTS continues to work to reduce preventable accidents, standardize driver training and maintain operational readiness.
From L3Harris to Acron Aviation: The story of Driver Training Solutions
For more than a decade, the Driver Training division operated within L3 Technologies and later the L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions (CAS) division, where it became known for building some of the most sophisticated, high-fidelity commercial driving simulators in the industry.
These systems, used by commercial fleets, law enforcement agencies, delivery companies, public sector organizations, CDL programs and aviation ground-support teams, earned a reputation for technical rigor, realism and reliability. The division’s simulators, including TranSim™, Compact TranSim™, PatrolSim™, DeliverySim™ and Airside-Pushback™, have become indispensable tools for organizations.
In 2025, TJC acquired CAS from L3Harris, creating the standalone business of Acron Aviation, which includes Driver Training Solutions (DTS). Under Acron Aviation, DTS continues to serve commercial transportation fleets, first responders, and airport ground crews through its simulators and training modules.

2020-23
L3Harris Driver Training Solutions grows into the knowledgeable and dependable brand many industries trust. Programs expand adoption across: commercial trucking, law enforcement, delivery, emergency services, transit and education.
2025
TJC acquires CAS from L3Harris, creating a standalone company of Acron Aviation. Driver Training Solutions becomes part of Acron Aviation.
Today
Driver Training Solutions continues to deliver industry-leading simulators for trucking, law enforcement, delivery, emergency services, airside operations, transit and CDL training.
