Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) and Differences Course
Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) is a specialized training program designed to enable pilots to transition between two related aircraft types, such as the Airbus A320 and A330, or vice versa. Acron Aviation offers both the A320 to A330 and A330 to A320 CCQ courses for qualified pilots, reducing the time required for full type rating training.
Course overview
The A320-A330 Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) prepares experienced A320 pilots to obtain an A330 Type Rating with IR and PBN privileges. The course covers all the essential differences between the two aircraft, while assuming a solid understanding of the base aircraft's systems.
Trainees progress from self-study and CBT aids (where available) to full flight simulator (FFS) sessions, developing their multi-crew operational skills on the A330. Throughout the course, pilots will undergo periodic assessments to ensure progressive skill development.
Periodic assessments
Throughout all phases, trainees will be assessed on their knowledge and skill levels, ensuring they are fully prepared for the transition from A320 to A330 or vice versa.
Course content
The course is flexible and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the customer operator. Options include:
- Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) or Take-off and Landing Training (base training)

Trainees will utilize Airbus A330 FCOM, CBT materials, and other documentation provided by Acron Aviation to ensure a thorough understanding of the aircraft.
